Hamilton - City of Waterfalls

Incorporated on June 9, 1846, Hamilton is Canada's oldest incorporated city. Situated at the west tip of Lake Ontario, the Niagara Escarpment cuts the city in half. Locally referred to as "The Mountain", it is the reason why Hamilton has so many waterfalls, leading to its nicknames, "City of Waterfalls" and "Waterfall Capital of the World". Boasting over 150 waterfalls, many of which are publicly accessible, it is a cataractophile's dream-come-true.
